New Kids on the Block: Revisiting My Pre-teen Obsession

I would have never guessed in 1988 that I would be going back to see my pre-teen obsession, New Kids on the Block, live and in concert! But here I find myself 20 years later, a married woman, 9 months pregnant, and still screaming for Joey McIntyre! YIKES!! We had balcony tickets and somehow ended up in the box seats on the floor thanks to my friend Heather's connections. I had low expectations but it was actually a really great concert and it was fun to relive it with friends that were also fans back in the day. Though some of that obsession still lingers, I think I will wear my new concert T-shirt only in the confines of my own home!
