Abbey in the Texas Snow

Mrs. Claus and Santa
We went to Schlitterbahn this past weekend for their "Winter Wonderland" promising a million lights, Santa, and snow! For those of you who don't know, Schlitterbahn is a waterpark during the summer and they transform it for the holidays. While some people are trying to escape the snow, Texans like myself are begging to catch a glimpse so we were excited at the prospect. Well, the lights were nice and Abbey enjoyed meeting Mrs. Claus ( the Santa line was very long but Abbey was perfectly happy to see Mrs. Claus instead!) but the snow was a little bit of an illusion. The snow was actually just soap suds out of snow blower type machines. I was disappointed but Abbey thought the "snow" was great since she has never seen snow before. All in all, it was a nice holiday night out that ended with some hot chocolate.

Hi Ashely,
Cousin Jane here in Illinois. My Mom gave me your blog site and I just had to check it out. Your kids are beautiful. That little man of yours is so cute. And Abbey will surely be breaking hearts all over town when she gets older. It is so nice that you set this up. Since we don't get to see the Nelson side of the family very often it is fun to see what everyone is up to. We have an Abby in our family as well. Our Abby will be 2 on the 28th and she has received the same shirt yesterday that your Abbey had in the picture where she is picking out the christmas tree. How strange is that? Hope all is well there in Texas. I pray that you will have a healthy and happy new years.
